A discreet application of wood spice frames a ripe, densely fruited and very fresh nose of red pinot liqueur with that wonderful wet stone component that adds lift to the nose and the delicious, mouth coating and tension-filled flavors. This terminates in a detailed, focused, firm and linear finish of impeccable balance. Like the Poissenots, there is a striking sense of harmony here that is most appealing. In a word, terrific.
