The aromas of blackberries, cedar, sandalwood and black tea are compelling. Black olives. Rosemary and sage undertones. Full-bodied, rich and powerful Seña with impressive and powerful tannins, yet harmony and balance. Fruit-forward. Lightly chewy. Fresh and energetic wine in a hot year. Broad-shouldered.
- Product Description
Seña wine was established as a collaboration between Viña Errázuriz and Robert Mondavi. Since 2005 it has been owned 100% by the Chadwick family, proprietors of Errázuriz. Ever since the inaugural 1995 vintage of Seña, this has been show-stopper of a wine and recent vintages have received a string of plaudits.
The grapes for Seña come from the biodynamic Seña Hillside vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley and is produced at Errázuriz's Don Maximiano Estate.
The 2017 release is particularly noteworthy as not only does it have one of the highest ratings to-date, it is also priced below last year's release.
