A deft application of wood does not compromise the expressiveness of the high-toned, intensely floral and very fresh red pinot fruit and Gevrey-style earth aromas that can also be found on the rich, supple and seductively textured middle weight flavors that are delicious if a bit light for a grand cru. My score offers the benefit of the doubt that this will flesh out and put on weight as it ages as there is excellent persistence. 2019+
