A ripe, reticent and brooding nose features spiced plum, black raspberry, red currant and herbal notes, all of which are suffused by ferrous earth nuances. The powerful, concentrated and exceptionally rich broad-shouldered flavors possess plenty of muscle as the dense and firm mouth coating tannins will require all of 15 years to resolve. I very much like this as it's a Charmes of imposing size and weight along with explosive length yet it retains a fine sense of harmony and balance. It's one for the back of the cellar though.
