An earthy and reticent nose of ripe plum, cassis, dark raspberries and a hint of animale complements the equally recalcitrant medium weight flavors that possess plenty of punch on the well-delineated, balanced and overtly austere finish that displays excellent balance, depth and length. Like the Echézeaux, this also offers fine complexity though note that this too will require an extended cellar snooze.
