The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux has a slightly deeper color compared to the Les Goulots. The bouquet is very intense with spicy, slightly ferrous raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit with just a touch of something exotic, perhaps even South African fynbos scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a succulent entry: strawberry pastilles, fleshy in texture with a long rounded finish that lingers in the mouth. Delicious. Bon vin!
