A gentle application of wood sets off the fresh, ripe and refined aromas of various red berries, anise, clove and sandalwood. There is a velvety and highly seductive mouth feel to the beautifully textured medium weight flavors that display plenty of minerality on the lush yet well-detailed finish that is firm and mildly austere but not hard. This should amply reward up to a decade of cellaring. Sweet spot. Outstanding.
