2012 Roche Bellene, Chapelle Chambertin

A cool and restrained nose offers up notes of red currant, pungent earth and sauvage hints where there are background touches of dried flowers. In the same fashion as the Bonnes Mares this possesses excellent size, weight and punch with a subtle minerality that continues on to the firm, austere and lingering finish. This is a big Chapelle that will need plenty of time to resolve the tannins.
