There is ample wood present on the menthol and earth-suffused nose that offers up notes of plum liqueur, violet and a hint of underbrush. The more energetic and intense medium weight plus flavors exude a refreshing salinity on the sappy and beautifully persistent finish. I like the balance and once again note that my suggested optimum drinking window reflects the large format bottling.
