Smoked meat, black olives and licorice give the 2013 Stonewell Shiraz a savory cast, balanced by notes of tea, blackberries and plums. Medium to full-bodied, it's firm and tannic, with at least a decade of aging potential, although it should be approachable within a couple of years.

Stonewell Shiraz, 2013, Peter Lehmann, 6x750ml
This is the Peter Lehmann flagship wine, first produced in 1987 and made from a selection of their best Shiraz. He named it 'Stonewell' after the district that he believed best showed the characters admired most in Barossa Shiraz.
